FC Porto added the title of national handball champion to the Cup of Portugal, after defeating Benfica this Sunday in the final by 31-27, at Multiusos de Pinhel.
The Dragons completely dominated the match, just being behind in the first goal, arriving at half-time winning by 16-14. In the complementary stage, marked by the expulsion of Benfica coach Chema Rodríguez, as well as several other exclusions, the team led by Magnus Anderson extended their advantage, ending with a difference of four goals.
Unbeaten in the championship, the dragons thus closed the season in the best possible way, winning the new Cup of their honors.
