From 21 to 26 June, Fábrica da Cerveja, in Faro, will host the Algarve Design Meeting, the event that brings together institutions, companies, professors, researchers, professionals and all lovers of the design world.
Since 2011, the University of Algarve-ESEC, in partnership with Faro City Council and the National Association of Designers, has organized the Algarve Design Meeting annually, promoting national and international design, and enhancing the connection between designers, companies, academia, industry and society.
Between the 21st and 26th of June, the city of Faro once again becomes the international capital of design, bringing together institutions, companies, teachers, researchers, professionals and the general public at Fábrica da Cerveja. of, through various activities, having contact with various projects and talents existing in these sectors of the creative industry, fostering knowledge between different groups in our society.
The Algarve Design Meeting has been gaining international notoriety, having already held more than 90 exhibitions, more than 50 workshops, 9 conferences with the participation of more than 140 national and international speakers, more than 60 pop-up stores, 6 festivals of Videomapping, 5 outdoor movie sessions, and hundreds of visitors during each event.
Due to the pandemic context, the 10th anniversary cannot be celebrated in 2020, so this year will be a celebration, with conferences with national and international artists, themes related to the various areas of design, exhibitions, workshops, pop-up stores, performances and videomapping.
