Web Summit returns to Lisbon in “normal” format in November.

The organization is in constant contact with the Health authorities to ensure the event in terms of Public Health

After last year’s Web Summit event took place online due to the covid-19 pandemic, Europe’s largest technology conference Web Summit will return to Lisbon in face-to-face format, confirmed the organizers.

In November of last year, Paddy Cosgrave, CEO of Web Summit, said he had booked the Altice Arena and hoped it would be the “normal” format this year and the contact between the organization and the Portuguese Health Authorities is constant in order to have a safe event in terms of Public Health, but it has not yet been decided whether tests or masks will be necessary, said the communication director, Katherine Farrell

“We couldn’t be more excited about returning in person. Seeing people reconnecting in person safely and reliving the magic of face-to-face interactions will be incredible.” CEO Cosgrave said in a statement.

Organizers expect more than 40,000 people to attend the conference this year, which will have more than 1,000 speakers and 1250 startups to participate in the event, which will take place from November 1 to 4, the company said.
