The cycles of Fado in Aldeias do Xisto comes this year with the Fado Ao Centro in the months of July and August operating in the municipalities of Penacova, Penela, Pampilhosa da Serra, Sertã and Oleiros. João Farinha’s voice will be joined by the guitars of Luís Barroso, Luís Carlos Santos and Hugo Gamboias in intimate open-air concerts of Coimbra Fado.
In addition to this cycle of concerts, Fado Ao Centro will be performing on the 31st of July, in Sever do Vouga, for a Fado and Dance concert with the DNA school, and at the end of August it will tour Romania. After an interval of a year and a half, motivated by the Covid-19 pandemic, the group from Coimbra returns abroad for 8 concerts in Romania, as part of the renowned international music festival in Sibiu.
Fado Ao Centro also has daily performances of Fado de Coimbra, in its space on Rua do Quebra Costas in Coimbra, every day at 18:00.
