Andrea Bocelli is back in Portugal. The Italian tenor will perform at the Cidade de Coimbra Stadium on the 25th and 26th of June, along with the fado singer Mariza.
The concert was scheduled for 2020 but was postponed due to the covid-19 pandemic.
“In compliance with safety standards and with the issuing of a favorable technical opinion issued [today] by the Directorate-General for Health, MOT, promoter of the event, announces that one of the most awaited shows since 2020 will even be held. Soon , more information will be released regarding the rules for the concert and the division of the capacity on two dates (25 and 26 June 2021) “, says the organization, in a statement.
The promoter MOT – Memories of Tomorrow guarantees that “all the security measures and recommendations proposed by the Directorate-General for Health will be complied with” and reveals that, due to the current pandemic situation, “it has developed a whole methodical, judicious and rigorous planning, creating a proposal to organize an event as safe as possible for all those involved, assuming the commitment of scrupulous compliance with safety standards in the context of a pandemic ”.
Andrea Bocelli was in Portugal in 2017, at a concert that sold out the Altice Meo Arena, in Lisbon.
