Ballerina Carolina Costa, born in Braga, won two bronze medals in the International Competition for Young Students in Ballet, promoted by the Escuela Nacional de Ballet Cuba.
The 14-year-old Ballerina won third place in the Classic and Contemporary Solo variations of the Youth category, awards that were announced on June, 27 by the Cuban Ballet Institution, one of the most prestigious in the world of ballet.
“And in such a difficult and unusual year at all levels, it’s great to realize that not all was lost! I’m very happy for this recognition in such a demanding competition”, wrote the dancer on social media.
The winner of the Young Talents of Braga Award, in the 2017 edition at Teatro Circo, whose career in competitions began in 2016, has already won 32 gold medals, 17 silver and 16 bronze, in just five years.
Since June 2018, she has been a student at the Annarella Sanchez International Conservatory of Ballet and Dance in Leiria.
