The Municipality of Vila Nova de Famalicão marks the International Museum Day with the promotion of more than 30 activities, between the 15th and 18th of May. The face-to-face and online initiatives will take place from the county’s museums. During these four days, the “Musear por Vila Nova de Famalicão” initiative will also be made available. The activity provides, through a QR Code, three suggestions for exploring the city’s museums.
“Together we make a museum. Thinking about sustainable development ”is the digital conference that starts the set of activities. Scheduled for the 15th, at 3 pm, the event aims to address concepts and examples of good practices that can facilitate the understanding of how spaces can act following a sustainable development. The conference includes the Regional Director of Culture of the Alentejo, Ana Paula Amendoeira, the museologist and researcher Graça Filipe, the director of the Lisbon Museum and president of the ICOM CAMOC, Joana Sousa Monteiro, and the professor at the University of Aveiro, Sara Moreno Pires , as keynote speakers. Registration for the initiative is free and must be submitted by May 13th.
